Uche Agbo, Success Isaac star in Granada win

Nigerian duo of Uche Agbo and Success Isaac featured for Spanish side, Granada CF on Wednesday as they beat Albacete 2-0 in a Pre-season game. The duo who have represented Nigeria at youth levels were 68th minute substitutes, Success entering for Piti and Agbo for Fran Rico. It was the last game of the pre season in Murcia, Spain.

Ambrose's Celtic pip Qarabag

Efe Ambrose's Celtic defeated determined Azerbaijan opponent, Qarabag 1-0 in the first leg UEFA Champions league qualification game in Glasgow on Wednesday. The Nigerian international was an unused substitute as his team mates battle to secure a slim win over the Azerbaijan team. Deseyck Boyata scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute. Nigerian born Swiss Innocent Emeghara used
to play for Qarabag before he left for the USA MLS Side, San Jose Earthquakes.

Nigeria striker Stanley Ohawuchi continue his impressive run for his Egyptian League as he scored his 13th league goal for Wadi Degla on Thursday in their 3-1 loss at Al Ahli. Wadi Degla are now 7th on the league table with 50 points from 35 games. The former Sliema Wanderer hit man scored in the 77th minute to bring the game to 2-1. He has now scored in the last 9 games for his team. The former Heartland forward has represented Nigeria at U20 level.

Joel Obi to pocket €500,000 in Torino

Nigeria international Joel Obi will earn €500,000 for the four year deal he signed with Torino. The former Intermilan midfielder completed his move to Torino on Thursday after he passed a medical. The signing bring to an end his 10 years sojourn at of Intermilan. Intermilan earned €2.3 million from the deal. He will be available for the summer training camp which start on July 8. Obi has won 13 international caps for Nigeria.
