Fatai off to Turkey

Former Nigeria Junior international, Kehinde Fatai is in Lara, Turkey with his Romania Premier league side, Astra Ploiesti in preparation for league resumption.
The training camp commenced January 15th and will end on January 27th where they will play two games against CF Costuleni in Moldova on January 20 and Zaria Lugansk in Ukraine on 23rd January.
Fatai said “We are here to prepare for the task ahead of us when league resume. We want to improve on our standing. I will do my best to help the team and myself. I want to be better in my goal scoring record and pray for injury free year. We are here to perfect strategy and be fit for the forthcoming fixtures.”
The second face of the preparation will be in Antalya, Turkey from 6th February to 18th February at Majestic Mardan Complex.
Fatai is the team’s leading scorer with 5 gals so far.

Ugo: My goals will lift Leiria

Nigeria born Uniao Leiria forward, John Ogu Ugochukwu who netted his first goal for the club in his second game weekend has expressed his excitement over that and promised to score more goals that will help to lift the team out of relegation zone.
Ogu, who join Leiria from Almeria in Spain Scored his team’s first goal in a 2-2 away draw with Nacional in 15th minute.
He said “I am happy that I scored in my very second game for my club, it is a sign of good thing for me and that means I have settled down well. The result was important for us in our quest to survive relegation. I am ready to contribute my quota by scoring as many goals I can to see that we remain in top flight at the end of the season. I am here for business and I have started well.”
Uniao Leiria currently occupies 15th position on a 16 team league table with 13 points.

Leiria debut excite Ogu

Unknown Nigeria left winger, Ogu John Ugochukwu has express his happiness for making a debut for his Portuguese top flight team Uniao Lieria against Benfica.
The left footed forward who play anywhere in the attack said he was overwhelmed that he featured in 90 minutes for his side and looking forward to more games.
“I feel good making my debut after long wait due to some delay in paper work. I have a lot of work to do so I can be a great player in Portugal for Leiria. I am hoping to get my best form here. I will do my best for the team.”Ogu said.
The Nigerian and his mates suffered 0-4 loss to Benfica weekend.
Leiria is 15th on 16 team table with 12points from 14 games.
Ogu played for UD Almeria in Spain before joining Portuguese team.

Austria based Nigeria Goalkeeper, Ndubuisi want eagles chance

Unknown Nigeria born Austria based Goalie, Edwin Joshua Ndubuisi has sent come get me message to eagles manager, Stephen Keshi.

Ndubuisi who has been outstanding for his team was voted best Goalkeeper in Austria league last term caught the eyes of the Country U-21 crew but turned it down to get Nigeria chance.
He said that is an indication that he is a quality keeper that can challenge those currently in eagles.
The Former Union Innsbruck safest hands said “I have been doing since I came to Austria, my exploit have been recognized in different ways, I was named best Goalkeeper in the league last season and I was contacted to join the country U-19 and U-21 at a point which I turned down because I know I am a Nigerian and that if I keep doing well for my club, I will get chance to play for Nigeria. I think it is the right time I get a chance in eagles, I am sure I will be appreciated if I am called to [play for eagles, the new Coach Stephen Keshi is rebuilding the team and I will be glad if I am given a chance, all I need is a call the rest will be history because I will be in to stay. I know Enyeama and others who are there are good but I can challenge them, I know what I am capable of doing as a Keeper.”
The 22 years old Nigeria goalie has been in Austria since 2004 and he is a household name in that country.
