Imoh Ezekiel gets Roberto Carlos as Coach in Qatar

Nigerian International Imoh Ezekiel may play under Brazilian great Roberto Carlos as the he has been appointed as Al Arabi of Qatar new manager. Carlos parted way with Turkish Super league side, Akhisar Belediyespor at the end of the season and he has grab a new job at Al Arabi, Qatar. He was happy to sign for the team and looking forward to good things. "I came with great expectations to Al Arabi. I will do my best to uncover a good team." He told ESPN. Nigeria international Ahmed Musa has expressed is happiness for winning the best striker award for 2014 in Pitch award which takes place in Kaduna last Saturday. The CSKA Moscow forward said that he is happy with the recognition which will spore him for more. "I am happy and excited with the honor as the best striker in 2014. Sparta Prague cough out €500,000 for Fatai

Czech Republic power house, Sparta Prague coughed out a whopping €500,000 to sign former Nigeria youth internationals, Kehinde Fatai from Astra Giurgiu, AfricanFootball.com can exclusively report. Josephine Chukwunonye thrilled to join Washington Spirit

Super Falcons defender Josephine Chukwunonye has expressed her delight for joining the list of Nigeria player abroad after he agreed a deal with US Women league team, Washington Spirit. “I am excited to join the Washington Spirit family; it’s a thing of joy and a dream come true for me,” said Chukwunonye. “I love playing with great players like Crystal Dunn, who I faced in the U20 World Cup in 2012. I am excited to work with coach Parsons because I know he will bring out the best in me.” Chukwunonye, 23 has been with River Angels since 2008 and he is the second Nigeria player in the team's fold, the first been Fransesca Ordega. The club's general manager and Head coach, Mark Parsons is happy to have the Nigeria defender in her team. “Josephine is a very talented defender with tremendous character. "She brings plenty of defensive qualities, while being very technical and confident with the ball at her feet.” Parsons said. Meanwhile, striker Ngozi Okobi may be the third Nigerian to join Washington Spirit as talk are on going for a possible move.

Ekong delighted with Eagles debut

Former Netherlands youth international, William Troost-Ekong has expressed his delight on his debut for the Super eagles of Nigeria. The 21 year old central defender partner Kenneth Omeruo in the heart of eagles defence as they beat Chad 2-0 in an AFCON 2017 qualifier in Kaduna on Saturday. "Thank God for my full international debut. Very happy with the 3 points for the team. The proudest moment of the career!" Ekong tweeted. He played on loan with FC Dordrecht from FC Groningen last season and he is a free agent now. The big defender played for Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur at youth level. H
e has represented Netherlands at U19 and U20 level.

Ex-Nigeria U23 goalkeeper Ogunbiyi promotes with Naestved in Denmark

By: OLUSOLA ALAO Former Nigeria U23 national team goalkeeper Tunde Ogunbiyi has secured promotion to Danish top flight with his Danish second division team, Naestved BK following a 3-0 win against host, Jammaburgt to top the table with 67 points.
The former University of New Hampshire soccer team goalkeeper was invited to the Nigeria U23 national team preparing for the Beijing Olympic qualifiers in 2007 and the final preparation camp for the Olympic games in Portugal by coach Samson Siasia. The American born Ogunbiyi helped Skive IK secured promotion to the first division in Denmark in 2014 before he joined Naestved in 2014/2015 season. The goalkeeper who played for Ocean city Baron in USA was born in Abington to a Nigerian father, a doctor of Pharmacology and a Jamaican mother, a biochemist.
