Nigerian top marksman abroad in 2014/2015 season

Some Nigerian strikers dazzled for their various clubs in Europe as the major leagues in Europe have come to an end. AfricanFootball.com look at the performance of the Nigeria forwards infront of goals for their clubs and pick the top performers. Jude Odion Ighalo: Super eagles striker was one of the reasons why Watford secured promotion to the EPL at the end pf the 2014/2015 season in England as he scored 20 goals in 35 league games. He has no goal in the league cup and FA Cup. The former Flying eagles captain have two caps for eagles and has been called up for the AFCON 2017 qualifier against Chad. Kehinde Olanrewaju: The relatively unknown Nigeria striker is another prolific Nigeria player in Europe after he fired 20 goals for Hapoel Afula in Israeli second division in 32 games. Ahmed Musa: The CSKA Moscow forward is the most prolific forward among the core member of eagles in the just ended season. Patrick Eze: An unknown Nigerian players was a hero in Serbia as he ended the season as the top scorer with 15 goals in 24 games. The Mladost Lucani striker also emerged as the Most valuable player of the league. He has no goal in cup games. Kehinde Fatai: The former Nigeria youth international shrug off the injury problems to return to goal scoring and ended the season with a total of 14 goals. The former JUTH FC of Jos forward scored 7 goals in the league for Astra Giurgiu in Romania, three in the UEFA Europa league and four in Romania cup game. He has represented Nigeria at U20 and U23 level.
Olanrewaju Kayode: The former Nigeria youth international scored 13 goals in the league. His exploit infront of goals for the Israeli team, Maccabi Netanya was responsible for his deal with Ausra Wien. Imoh Ezekiel: He ended the season with 12 goals. The 36 Lion of Lagos product scored 6 goals for Al Arabi in Qatari league and scored six for Standard Liege where he played the remainder of the season on loan. Chikeluba Ofoedu: The former Rangers striker powered 12 goals in the Turkish Second division. The Samsunspor forward scored 9 goals for his current team, Samsunspor and three for Karsiyaka. The 22 year old took his team to Turkish second division promotion play off final for a place in the Super league. Sunny Omeriege: The unknown Nigeria striker scored 13 goals for his Slovenia team, C
elje in 34 games. The 26 year old striker is the third top scorer in the league. Sylvester Igboun: The FC Midtjylland forward ended the season with 9 goals as his team emerged Danish top flight champions.
